Manual time input for swimming not working

I asked this on twitter and DM them but no response. So when I create a manual activity for swimming I can input distance and time which is usually 45min to 1 hour but very recently I can't input time anymore. It looks like it was disabled and can't tap on it. So what is wrong with it? However for other activities such as running or cycling you can input time manually. My garmin connect app is up to date. Was there something that you guys did that made input time disabled for swimming specifically? Is there a way to reverse it?

  • I can't answer the questions (rather report it directly to Garmin at https://support.garmin.com), but as a workaround, when you need to change the time at a swimming workout, change the activity type to something else (i.e. Cardio), edit the time there, and then set back the type to Swimming again.

  • Thanks for adding this issue!! I discovered the same impediment this week.

  • I noticed the same thing today...they got rid of "Lap Swimming" as an activity and replaced it with "Pool Swimming", which for some reason won't let you put in a time...very frustrating...will contact Garmin

  • Still have not been resolved. This is very annoying and can't believe there is really no workaround as suggested by changing activity type. Can't understand why this basic option is available for all other activities as cycling or running but not for swimming. Really thinking Garmin is not intended for swimmers and making me look elsewhere for other products

Are you telling the workaround does not work for you?

Possibly because Garmin is not aware of the issue, since nobody reported it to them.
