Why aren't walking not being recorded. Want to stop the running one

Want to stop running activities & not recording my steps. Watch says "yes" - Garmin says none.

I don't understand what you want to do. Could you explain it some more?

Is your watch logging steps but you don't see them in Garmin Connect?
