6X Pro Solar disconnects when Connect app is closed on mobile

Hi,

My new Fenix 6X Pro Solar is only receiving notifications if the Connect app is running on my mobile. As soon as I close the app the connection is lost and I can't receive messages or listen to music even though both devices are synced and paired via Bluetooth. Is this normal? I hope not. Please help me to resolve this issue.

  • You must allow the app to run in the background. If you stop it lots of functions will stop to work. The Connect app is the companion app for the watch.

    It should auto start if you close it, but your phone settings might stop the app from doing that. Check that you turned off battery optimization for Connect and that you allow it to run and use data in the background.
