Connect HRV not working

Hey folks, so on my Garmin Connect app, either on my phone or tablet, when I click on the HRV status for more info, it crashes and cycles connect back to my daily page. I cannot get the HRV status to pop up, regardless if I click on it on my daily page or through the left menu. I can see it fine on the webpage for Connect and I've restarted the app and disconnected my watches when doing it, I have 955 and IS2 both connected to the same device,

Anyone else having this issue or I somehow bugged it myself?

  • The HRV status disappeared from the app for me today. It must have happened with the last update to 4.61

  • And now it's back showing in 'My day'. Weird

  • Same issue for me. My guess is a bug with the app.

  • My issue was resolved after submitting a trouble ticket with Garmin.

  • I don't think I've had this problem on the App until a few days ago (no software update that I know of), and if we take Former Member observation that a Garmin trouble ticket fixes it, it suggests there's some kind of corruption in Garmin's "cloud" that they can repair, rather than a bug in the app per-se.  That's not to say Garmin couldn't make the app more robust to avoid what appears to be a crashing app and the disappearance of the "HRV Status" widget.  Neither the EPIX-2 nor the web interface crash when viewing the overnight HRV graph.  Notice if you kill off the App entirely and restart it fresh, the  HRV Status widget/chicklet re-appears on "My Day" with its summary status, but if you try to go to the widget detail it crashes again.

  • Several days after first noticing the above curious behavior in the App (Android), its working fine for displaying last night's HRV detail, but crashing the app/widget if I then swipe to look at yesterday's detail data. The app still needs to be killed and restarted for the widget to appear in "My Day" again.  It seems to this observer there's some data badly captured by the watch on some nights, or badly uploaded to the GC backend such that the app/widget crashes when trying to subsequently process it for display.  I suppose an alternate theory would be some kind of widget bug when attempting to process/display data captured by the watch that contains some kind of discontinuity or irregularity.

  • FYI - Garmin Support confirmed it is a bug with the app -

It looks like the app might be having a possible bug as the Garmin Connect Web version of the information. I have raised a product concern case with the app team to make them aware of this issue, but it doesn't appear to be impacting all versions of the app. Once they are able to look into the issue a bit closer, I will be able to let you know about the best next steps to resolve the issue.

  • Same, phone app (android) reboots after trying to open hrv status from any part of the interface (card, left menu, within the training status card, from the daily or weekly summary, ... ).

Started some days back, unsure exactly when but I have the feeling it might have started with daylight saving time switch; I am in Italy, unsure if the switch happened also in US, may be due to incoherent time stamp between my phone and Garmin servers?

  • Same issue for me. Seems to have appeared just after the clocks went forward here in the UK. I don't think that's a coincidence.

When selecting HRV Status I immediately get a full white screen followed by being sent back to the connect app home page.

  • Same issue in my case. I linked it to a beta version on Fenix 6X but you are right it could be related to this clock change.
