After the recent update, the weather icon and temperature is lost on the watch.

I have enabled weather icon and temperature on my watch face but still does not work. Watch face settings are the same as before.

Thanks. That watchface is using the standard weather from the Garmin watch.

Check the weather widget in your watch. It probably isn't working either.

Great that it works!

I can only guess why things change without you actively doing anything. There are so many parts that need to work together and sometimes they end up in an unpredicted state. Permissions…

Have you set the Location permission for the Garmin Connect app to Always on the phone?

Also do a restart of both watch and phone.

Yes you are right! It was a permission problem. The permissions of both connect and connect iq were at "allow only while using the app". Changed it to "allowed all the time" and was fixed! Thank you very much!

Why do these settings change without doing anything? I mean it was the same phone, with same settings.

I can only guess why things change without you actively doing anything. There are so many parts that need to work together and sometimes they end up in an unpredicted state. Permissions can change from time to time. An app that isn't being used for some time will have its permissions automatically removed by the operating system to make the phone more secure.
