Missing Watch Settings on Garmin Connect - Android

Hi All,

For some reason I can no longer see my watch settings on the Connect App (Android). All it shows is a stock image of an Instinct 2s (which I have) and saying that's it's 'connected'. There are no other menus.

I have previously uninstalled the app and re-paired the watch but without success. Strangely enough, the other day the setting reappeared - which I put down to an app update, but by the end of the day the setting disappeared again! Thankfully I managed to change a few data screens before starting an activity that day.

I have checked the app permissions and as far as I can see I have not prevented it accessing the things it needs.

Anyone else having this issue or just me?

The app is on ver 4.58

Instinct 2s is on 8.64

Issue was present on Android 12.. and now on Android 13.

Restart the watch and the app

Yeah tried that but still the same problem. I have also done a soft reset on the watch too.

Happened to me 5 times already, and each time the soft-reset and forcing the app to stop, and restart, worked. Restarting alone the watch, or alone the app does not work. If soft-resetting the watch, and then restarting the app does not help, repeat both again, I bet it will work.

Tried this a few times now and still no settings menu.

Then try reinstalling the app.

UPDATE: The settings have returned since the Connect app update (4.58.1).

Let's hope it stays this time.

ANOTHER UPDATE: Setting has disappeared again (28/08). What a farce!!!

I have the same issue on ios with latest software versions.

Clear the cache of the app, if the previously posted tips did not help
