Garmin Connect is not auto re-connecting with Venue2 after biking with Edge 1030

Usually my Venu2 (watch) is always connected to my GC android all day and night. Without fancy notifications I like the battery life 7+ days.

But I am biking with the Edge1030 several times a week + wearing the Wahoo HR strap, and when I got home the Edge auto sync in my garage through a wifi.

When a sync is done, I am looking at the connected devices in GC and the watch is (paired but) disconnected.

I tried Venue2 to re-connect several times but what I figure - no other way around I need to shot down the watch and restart = I tried to restart my Samsung S20 phone but that does not have any effect, only a Venue2 restart (with a shot down + start up again) will do a change.

After this exercise the Venu2 auto connects and works just fine as usual days.

Also to add, when I wake the Edge 1030 from a sleep with a side-button, that connects to a phone + GC automatically, I don't need to worry about that  -for now.

So, to recap....Edge 1030 auto connects, the Venue2 no auto connects to GC... the watch it says it is paired, so I assume this not a BT issue, at least not in the phone.

I cannot recall changing things in settings in any units, the only suspect may be some Garmin updates in a past 1-2 months?

Any tricks I shall try?

    My VA3 connects to my android phone very reliably unless I'm in the same room as my iPad with my iPad's BT turned on. When I see there is a problem connecting, 99 times out of 100, turning off my iPad's BT results in an immediate connection to my phone.
