Hi, I have recently got a gpsmap 66sr in order to become familiar with Garmin ecosystem and to figure out if it worth migrating to Garmin. Till now migrating to Garmin was never a reasonable step however after introducing courses it started to become a bit closer to me. Here are I few things I think should be improved.
1. Connect app does not allow adding a course waypoints in case the course is created from an imported track. Here is the usecase: I do use much more detailed map than you topo active map to create my course using BaseCamp. Basecamp is currently unable to create a course along with its waypoints. Therefore I export as a track and import it to either Explore app or Connect app. Both behave identicaly. When I open the track in the either app I am no longer able to add a course waypoint. If I recalculate the course using the feature provided the start and end waypoint are generated and it seems possible to add waypoint now. However this approach does not work for me because as I said I had previously created the track by using a much detailed map but the recalculation in the app is some based or the data in it's osm-based map. Just as a hint: Suunto does a perfect job here. Their rouse planner is the best I have ever used.
2. Will BaseCamp be ported to support cources?
