New to Garmin and have used Fitbit for years so I'm having some issues adjusting.
I've just completed one of the Garmin Preloaded workouts, but how do I track this on the watch/app itself without having to manually create a workout?

Not sure I understand the question correctly, but if the workout is preloaded, why do you want to create it manually? Just send the preloaded workout to the device (if it is not preloaded there already too), and then start it on the watch. You did not write what model you own, so I cannot look up the exact steps in the user manual for you, but if you open the manual and enter the keyword "workout" into the search box, you will get the exact instructions, how to start a workout on the watch. Typically it is through the activity menu » Training » Workouts » your workout » Do Workout. Once completed, save it, and it will appear in the section Activities of Garmin Connect.

DId you try what I suggested? Select the activity (if it was a Strength type of workout, then Strength, if Yoga, then Yoga, if Run, then Run, etc), long press the Menu button and then go to Training » Workouts » your workout » Do Workout.
