Steps data getting lost overnight and this has happened more than once. I'm currently using a Forerunner 735XT.

As I mentioned above this has happened before and it's the second time this month. Is this a glitch in my phone or a system fault? As far as I know, my watch and phone are synchronizing perfectly and the data is shown as if had been uploaded correctly. Yesterday, I lost over 15,000 steps.

  • I do not know why it happened to you, but I recommend verifying always the steps either on Garmin Connect Web, or on the detailed screen of steps in the app. Only there you can see the steps that were truly synced to the server. The steps shown on the My Day overview, are not the steps synced to your account. So if you see before the midnight, that the steps are not complete, make a dozen steps more, sync and verify again. That will avoid bad surprises the next day.
