sleep data not uploading

I see a lot of issues wrt sleep data not uploading to Garmin Connect, but none fit my description.

I have a Fenix 6 Solar. When I first got it, the sleep data uploaded to Connect with no issues. However, after I updated software on my watch it stopped doing so. Note: I AM getting nightly sleep data, so that is not the issue: It shows up above "Stress" and below ""Calendar" in my widgets (the accuracy, of course, is suspect - but that is not the issue).

When I go to Connect though, nothing shows up when I go to "Health Stats"/"Sleep." It just says "No sleep data... wear your Garmin Device while sleeping. I've tried this from both the Web/desktop and mobile versions of Connect

Any suggestions? (I could try factory resetting it to indeed verify it worked before the upgrade, but why would I want to do that?!)

Thanks!

  • Can you see the sleep data in Garmin Connect Web? If yes, then there may be a problem with the app, and you could try reinstalling it. In not, then there may be a problem with the association of the device to the Garmin Connect account, and you could try the tips from the Troubleshooting guide for (some) data missing after syncing.

  • No, as stated above: "I''ve tried this from both the Web/desktop and mobile versions of Connect." Also, I've already tired everything, including the link you gave.

  • Hi,

I followed all the steps. I did have multiple accounts, so I now am only syncing to my main one. However, that did not help. I would do a hard reset, but my prediction is that sleep data will sync fine until the firmware on the watch updates.

If you had two accounts, and expect that the data from both of them will merge after a firmware update, then I am afraid it won't happen. The data from the wrong account will stay there, But if you really fixed the double-account problem properly, all new data will land in the right account. If they don't, then it looks like you did not really fixed the problem yet entirely.

  • Hi, actually my sleep data are now being synced to Connect. I hadn't checked it until now. Removing the one account apparently was the fix.

    Thanks!
