Garming connect always fail to sync with garmin descent Mk2s after freedive session loosing all history since previous sync

Garmin Descent MK2S always fail to sync after freediving session with Garmin Connect.

No pair/repair/reinstall garmin connect etc helps.

Always with similar synclog: Upload Status=FAILED (Failed to read file from device)

It successfully upload free-diving session data but always loose HR/etc fitness tracker history since previous successful sync.

  • I've gotten issues like this on my Fenix 6 Pro! I've been contacting support about it for over a year and it hasn't been resolved yet. I'm at wits end, no idea what the issue is. Sorry I can't be more help, but at least we aren't alone in having this happen.

  • From the log it looks like a corrupted FIT file. Try downloading it over the USB cable, and see whether you can import it manually in Garmin Connect Web at connect.garmin.com/.../import-data

    The activity files are in the folder //GARMIN/Activity, and you can identify them by the date and the time in the filename.

    If you get an error, I bet or another kind forum user will offer a helping hand with fixing the file.

  • Hello the problem must be somewhere else. I have it too. I restarted phone, watch, no change. I could download FIT files from the watch and upload to to Connect WEB without any problem. So it happens with correct FIT files too.
