Battery drain on samsung phone, Android 12?

Since I installed Connect on my new a52s I see an unprecedented battery drain. One night 20% down, the other about 10% which is still double than normal. Tried to hit "force stop" the app in the phone's settings, cleared cache, but it comes back and keeps killing my battery even if the watch is not connected, BT turned OFF(!).

Of course everything is up to date now, only the 20% drain was on the previous version of connect.

Any idea?

    I see the same issue on Samsung S22. Garmin Connect tops battery consumption summary consuming over 20% of total battery use at the end of the day with 1 active minute and entire day of background use. This makes me uninstall the app and renders my watch (fenix 6x pro) almost useless. How to fix it?

    I have a Samsung Galaxy A20 & the Garmin Golf is identified as a high battery usage app. My phone drains quickly & is set to conserve battery usage. Is Garmin aware of this?
