Turn off normal normal sleep and awake times

Is there a way to not enable normal go to bed times and normal wake up times?...with my job, I'm forced in early (4 hours) before my normal wake up time and many times go to bed way before my normal bed time.  With that being said my sleep duration is always way off from what it really was.  I also always need to get up during the night many times because I'm also an on call fire/rescue worker...I know the watch eledgedly has sleep detection but the accuracy seems very skewed

  • Hey! I am looking for something similar!

I’m a student paramedic and we have 2 night shifts a week with our 2 day shifts having me wake up at 0430.

I was wondering if there was a way to simply ‘turn off sleep mode’ when needed. I do that easily with my iPhone, sometimes I’ll be on night shift, my scheduled alarm, sleep mode, and screen time will auto-engage and within a few seconds my phone is back to day mode. However, it seems like I can’t just ‘not be asleep’ if I’m on night shift. It’s also more frustrating because while working I need my seconds timer to count people’s respiratory rates and pulse.

I have a Fenix 7X and pair it with an iPhone 12Pro.

If any one knows some solutions, or if not, how I could recommend this to devs, that would be appreciated!

  • Not sure if I understand the problem correctly, but you can set up the bed times for example from 00:01 to 23:59, if you want that the watch attempts to detect your sleep anytime, or oppositely you can set it for example from 12:01 to 12:02, if in contrary you want to avoid the sleep detection entirely.

And if you speak about the DND mode instead, then you can turn it on and off manually anytime - either through the menu, or you can set up a hot key for it.
