Where did my personal record go

Yesterday I went on a run that was a recommended workout, and when it was completed, my Forerunner said (among other things) that I'd received a persponal record for fastest 1k. I am 99% sure I accepted it. Now, however, it is not in Garmin Connect. Why not? (And even if I didn't actively accept it, I certainly didn't reject it so it should still be somewhere waiting to be accepted.)

The records in the watch can be different from the ones in Connect. For a new watch or if the watch has been factory reset you will have new records even if they aren't better than the records already logged in Connect.

Thanks - so if I have a new/reset watch, my existing records in my cloud-based account won't sync to it? That seems surprising, but okay. But then how does one see the records in one's watch?

There is a function in the records page to send them to the watch but it hasn't worked for me.

Look at the records in Garmin Connect.
