Garmin Connect Mobile Android times out when syncing

Since update yesterday, February 11 2022 Australian time, the Garmin Connect Mobile Android app starts to sync but seems to time out.

Version is 4.51.1

Device: Garmin Instinct

The progress circle stops at about the 2 o'clock position, server calculated values (sleep, ...) don't show up.

Is Garmin aware of issues with this version of the app?

I have synchronised using Garmin Express on my laptop. I uninstalled the app and reinstalled it. The calculated values appeared after logging in. But the app still won't sync.
