Connect to a Watch

I've got a Garmin 245. I'm considering purchasing a Galaxy Watch 4 4G.

Cani get the Garmin Connect app for my Galaxy Watch? Then link the 245 to it?

In theory, this way, I could use the LiveTrack feature of the watch, but not have to carry around a phone with me.

I misunderstood. If your watch is running a full Android operating system you can install Garmin Connect on it, but I doubt it does that.

You can install the APK with ADB on the watch, but most apps will not work. Wear OS doesn't have all the components needed to run most Android apps.

Thanks, I assumed at much! It's also a convoluted method of getting LiveTrack to work without a phone. In the UK so now LTE watches available here yet.
