Sync Strava History to Garmin Connect

Hello Everybody

Got a question, I‘m to Garmin Connect, that’s why I want to sync my Strava History to my Connect account

Tried by conducting both that, didn’t help sync my history

Read, that one must reconnect Garmin to Strava and the upload a new event from Strava which would trigger the syncing of the history. Sounded bit strange and also didn’t work.

Does anybody have a tip how I could sync my History from Strava -> Garmin Connect

  • You won't get old Strava history that way. However, from now on your new activities will sync to Garmin then get pushed to Strava automatically.

How many activities do you have on Strava? If you have a lot, then I would start with going to Strava to download your history. On a desktop computer go to Strava "My Account"  https://www.strava.com/account then

Make sure you only do step 2, since you do NOT want to delete your Strava account. AstonishedSlight smile

Depending on how many activities you have, at some point you'll get an email from Strava with the subject "Your Strava archive is ready for download." The download will be a zip file containing all of your activities. You'll just need to remove the .gz from the file name, then you can bulk upload to Garmin

If you only have a few activities or you're extremely bored, you can just do a GPX export one at a time from Strava, then import into Garmin using the Garmin import page - connect.garmin.com/.../import-data. You won't get all the metrics you would normally get if they were originally synced with Garmin, but you'll at least get the basics (map, HR, etc.)
