Problem with pairings

Hello, I have the following problem with pairing via bluetooth. In app Garmin Connect, I connect and successfully pair my watch with my phone. After a while, and it could happen several time in hour, the watch disconnect from the phone. In the bluetooth setting of my phone the watch completely disappears from the list of paired devices and the on display of the watch shows the pairing code, which I have to enter into the phone all the time for pairing. After I enter this code, everything work, but only for a wile. Then I should again repeat whole process of pairing. I have Garmin Vovoactive 4 and Samsung Galaxy A22 4G (Android 11). This same problem also occurs on Samsung Galaxy A32 and Samsung Galaxy A42. I didn't have this problem with my previous mobile phone Samsung A10. My girlfriend has a Vivoactive 4s and a Samsung Galaxy A52 and she also don't have problem with pairing.

  • Did you first pair using the Connect mobile app or directly on your phone? It should be through the app. If you did pair through the app, go to the device in Connect mobile, long press and update the connection. Also, make sure that battery optimization isn't enabled for Connect Mobile.

If you paired first though the phone's Bluetooth, forget the device on your phone and pair through the Connect mobile app. If that doesn't solve the issue, you may have to uninstall and reinstall the app.

  • Hi, same problem with my galaxy A32 4g and Instinct 2. No matter trying to update or reinstall the App. The problem doesn't occour trying to pair the Instinct 2 with another phone (the connection works perfectly). With my A32 the watch just disappear from Connect after a few hours making it unusable. I guess the only way is to have some fix by Samsung/Android
