Syncing Courses from Quatix 5 to Garmin Connect

Hi folks,

I usually send trails to my Quatix 5 using the Wikiloc app which has a the corresponding garmin watch app. It works great and it lets me get all of my trails onto my watch; However, for whatever reason, when I sync my watch the courses on my watch do not sync back to the Connect App.

Is there any way that I could get this done so that I could manage courses put onto my watch this way? Or is there a better way to get wikiloc courses on the watch where I can maintain management through the connect app? Mostly I'm trying to save myself 1. the pain of renaming them using the watch buttons and 2. ensuring that i dont have to resend all my trails to my watch through the wikiloc app when i eventually upgrade to the quatix 6 or possibly 7.

Thanks for your help in advance!

Cheers,

Steven

  • Courses are not synced from the device to Garmin Connect.

I looked at Wikiloc to see how it works. I connected Garmin Connect and it got a function to send courses which I thought should work like Strava's there all routes that are starred will automatically be available in Garmin Connect and synced to all devices. It doesn't seem to work like that.

You can download the course from Wikiloc and import it into Garmin Connect on this page: https://connect.garmin.com/modern/courses

Then send it to your device from Connect.

  • Hey Thanks e7andy.

This is what I was suspecting I'd have to do. I already have about 25 courses on the device, as I normally look them up in the car right before I start. I will start converting them across on the laptop before so I can manage them in connect better.

It would be nice to have sync work both ways but its a minor nuisance.

    Happy New Year!
