I want to use the GPSmap66i to record tramping activities,(GPS data) and the Forerunner 245music to record everything else, (sleep, heart, etc) in the one Garmin connect account...

I want to use the GPSmap66i to record tramping activities,(GPS data) and the Forerunner 245music to record everything else, (sleep, heart, etc) in the one Garmin connect account...I see the Forerunner has trueup, but the GPSMAP66i does not..???

Indeed, the GPSMAP66 does not have trueup, but why do you need it? Just keep your watch on your wrist all the time and you're good.

Thanks for the reply.....the GPSMAP66i has better battery for recording longer hikes than the watch.

GPSMAP66i is not an activity tracker so it should work out of the box. Just set your FR245 as activity tracker and wear it. Log your hikes with GPSMAP66i. Done!

Pretty much the same answer as from tmk2 :-)

My question was "Why do you need trueup?", and not "Why do you need the GPSMAP?".
