Garmin Connect active alarms don't go off

Hello

I have a Fenix 5 and have created 2 separate alarms in the Garmin Connect app on my phone.
Bluetooth is enabled and my watch is connected. Messages and such appear fine on my watch.

My alarms are active and have worked. But this week is the second time in a few months I have experienced that my alarms just don't go off on my watch anymore.
Despite them being active in the app.

I thought it was just because I slept through it.
But today I was awake and looked at my watch at the alarm time and nothing happened.

If I delete the alarms and create new ones they work again.
But I never know when they will stop working, so it's quite unreliable.

Anyone having the same problems - and even better, a fix?

Thanks in advance.

  • Create the alarms on the watch.

  • The alarms created in the Garmin Connect app syncs to the Watch Alarms - and vice versa.
The alarms are still set to "On" directly on my watch.

  • Yes. I'm aware of that, but I've heard that it sometimes the sync doesn't work. So, eliminate all possible sources of errors and set the alarms directly on the watch. First remove them all in the app. Then create them again in the watch.

I only set the alarms directly on the watch since I've experienced sync issues and it is so easy to do it on the watch so no real benefit to do it in the app or in the web.

  • But the sync does work. I never change my alarms. They've been the same for years. They appear just fine on my watch.
The sync to phone / sync to watch isn't the problem. The alarms simply just stop working every so often.

But I'll try to delete them in the app and create them on my watch directly instead.
