"No training status" and missing "today's suggestion"

Hello,

The "Training Status" keeps showing "No Status" despite 3-5 runs each week.

Strange, because it worked for the first few weeks (in the summer). Other features such as Trainging Load, Vo2max etc. seem to work, but not the training status; nor the "Today's Suggestion" feature which seems to require a training status.

Nothing described in the manual helps - it claims "use your Garmin device to track one or two weeks of runs or rides that have VO2 max data" - I tracked over a dozen weeks, still "No Status". I also tried deleting activities such as Cycling without a power meter (as I thought maybe that causes the issue), but it didn't help.

I have a Fenix 6S Sapphire, software is at 19.20.

Does anyone have the same problem? Is there a solution?

  • I've just seen the support team claim that this is fixed - see this thread: forums.garmin.com/.../wrong-missing-training-status-and-training-load

However, it still doesn't work on my device, despite meeting all criteria: the device is only associated with 1 single Garmin account; I'm recording all activities; I'm not using UltraTac (my Run Setings are on GPS+GLONASS); and I'm almost always running outdoors with GPS on. Also, my runs are usually 20-35minutes and predominantly in the >70% max HR range (almost always meeting the criterion of 10min; twice a week or more). Also, the VO2max estimate is present and working (currently 52).

any further suggestions / advice how to get the "Training Status" to show up?

Also, anyone else having this issue? I've seen several threads on reddit but am curious if this seems fixed for most people here...?

  • Hi there, I have the same problem. "Training status" was once either "Productive" or "Maintaining", it become "No status" now. I uses the indoor bike activity profile for my spin bike exercise weeks ago. As the its power meter is not compatible with Garmin system, only heart rate is recorded. So I also think thus may be the origin of problem. As the Garmin system always warned my for low aerobic shortage, I really need that spin bike data (mostly zone 1- zone 3) to balance my training effort.
