Pool is meters, but GC Mobile is showing distance/pace in yards - started in Nov

I am having an issue with pool swimming with my 935 that just started with my swim on 11/18.  My "units" in connect are statute, because I use miles for running and biking, but I swim in a 25m pool - garmin connect mobile has ALWAYS provided my swim distance and pace in meters and pace/100m until my swim on Nov 18...it is now converting my swim distance and pace to yards and I do NOT want that.  Why did they change this?? How do I get my swims to show meters and pace per meters without changing everything to metric (which I do not want as I do not run/ride in kms).  I want the distance and pace in the units the workout was recorded in - miles for running and riding, meters for swimming when I am in a meter pool.  It is showing in meters on the web, which is great, but I don't usually get on the website to review workouts, I use my phone.

  • Same. Noticed back in Nov.  Very annoying!

  • Garmin 945.  Same issue here.  I have Statute UK as overall setting on watch as I want miles for running and cycling and riding.  However, I swim in 25 metre pool (metric).  My watch knows it's a 25 metre pool and the watch itself records all pool activity in metres.  The Garmin Connect Desktop Websites records swim in metres too.  However, the Garmin Connect Android App puts the swim in yards.  It makes the detail nonsensical when you're trying to compare with what you're used to.  Please fix this!  Simple, if it's a 25 metre pool, put it in metres.  If it's a 25 yard pool or whatever, put it in yards.  Alternatively, allow different disciplines to set different units of measurement so u don't have to put a run in KMs when u want it in miles, just so your pool swim shows properly.  Thanks.

  • same here - does show correct in the Calendar tho - Did Garmin ever provide a fix?

  • Not as far as I know.  I doubt they even read this.  Either live with it or like me, don't even bother looking at a swim breakdown on Garmin Connect App, as the figures are not relatable to the watch or the pool itself (which is 25 metres long not 25 yards long).
