Vo2 max

I am 68 years old and use to run regulary since the teenage. I use to get around 43,44 which gives me a condition age in the thirteens :-). For a few week ago I noticed that value start to appear on days I did train in it. Today I got 47 which give me 29 years condition age while I didnont trained today. As far as I know it should be a run at least 15 min to get a avalue. Anyone with the same issue or know why this happning. Ofcourse I have nothing against being 29 again :-;).

  • You can also get VO2 max values from walking or from all day heart rate. https://support.garmin.com/en-US/?faq=lWqSVlq3w76z5WoihLy5f8

"VO2 Max Estimate From All-Day Heart Rate
Newer watches are capable of generating VO2 max from all-day heart rate data. VO2 max generated from all-day heart rate will only show if you have not generated VO2 max from another source above, unless the all-day heart rate VO2 max is better than VO2 max generated from other sources."

Since you are getting higher values it looks like the all-day heart rate is being used.
