Body battery

For over a month I can't get my bb to show more than 40 some days. I have a pretty set routine so it's either a glitch with my Instinct or I'm in poor state (not). Tech support keep telling me to reset. Like... Fanx Any ideas?

  • My Body Battery has moved from 5 since i got my watch 10 months regardless of what i do! I just dont think it wotks at all.

  • Check your stress readings. If you have a stress value above 25 body battery will not recharge.

There are lots of things that can give you high stress readings. Nicotine use, alcohol, training very late, sickness, heart conditiions etc.

  • If you get 40 some days it actually works. Check the stress readings. The graph should be below 25 which will make it blue. How many hours are you sleeping? I need about 7 hours of sleep (with stress below 25) to recharge my body battery to 100%.

  • Thanks. Really, in this day and age. Like, this watch records every motion as stress unless it's vigorous ongoing exercise which also depletes the body battery. I'm in a good condition, have no health issues. Or I'm simply too old for this watch. But I'm fed up resetting every week.

  • I get 7-9 hours, all below 25 and the bb was 30 yesterday. Reset, now it shows 66 with the same stats.

  • Could you post a screenshot of the body battery page for yesterday so we can see a full day of body battery, with stress and sleep?

    Example from my body battery.

  • This is what it looks, the estimated time is where I wasn't wearing the watch and then later estimate is when I reset it.

  • Your stress readings are just at 25 or right below it. My readings are at half of that. In the end of your day you got really low values and the body battery started to recharge more.

So, it is the stress values that makes it recharge that little. Stress is measured by HRV (Heart rate variability) so it isn't the same as what normal people consider to be stress. You can't feel it. To get low stress you need a high HRV. Google: how to increase hrv

    From Whoop:

    1. Exercise & Train Appropriately.

    2. Good Nutrition at the Right Times.

    3. Hydrate.

    4. Don’t Drink Alcohol.

    5. Sleep Well & Consistently.

    6. Natural Light Exposure.

    7. Cold Thermogenesis.

    8. Intentional Breathing.

    9. Mindfulness & Meditation.

    10. Gratitude Journaling.

The first six I agree with and follow (even though I drink a couple beers per month...not per week and not per day). The last four are probably good as well, but nothing I do.

  • Hey, thanks.

    I don't drink.

Hydration could be better. My only exercise is walking/hiking.

Pffft, I just don't know. Should probably abandon looking at it.
