All the minor Challenges are logging my info but none of the major Challenges log any of my info. I sync often, I have deistalled Garmin from phone and reinstalled. Can't get it to work.

The 60 k step challenge and the monthly step challenge, (300,000) log just fine and I get credit. The monthly walking challenge, (30 miles) and the monthly weekend challenge do not log and I do not get credit for any thing I do. Trying to figure out how to get credit for those. I sync within the 12 hours of them ending per the challenge details. I have left the challenge and come back to the challenge, and I have deinstalled the app on my phone and reinstalled it but still nothing. Just want to get credit for all my challenges. It is great motivation and I want to be a part of it.
A common mistake with the walking challenges is that the walks are logged as "Hiking" or "Other". They must use the "Walking" activity type.
Check in Garmin Connect which type they got. The name/title of the activity is not relevant.
Hi Catherine,
Did you find a solution for this? I’m registered for the 60k Step Challenge and the 2022 Walking- Stage 3 Challenge. 60k records my steps, 2022 Walking does not record any steps. It’s the same gear and syncing so I’m at a loss figuring out why one works and the other does not.
Thanks, Wayne
Thanks for your answer. Much appreciated.
I’ve tried looking up “how to log distance” but didn’t find much (maybe custom stride ill be helpful one day). Looking around the app, I found Activities —> Create Manuel Activity. Is this where I log the distance? I’ve tried logging in yesterday’s walk and it shows under Walking but still not under the 2022 Walking-Stage 3 Challenge. Is it because it was logged in too late (if I’m in the correct place)?
Thanks a lot.
You should look into how to start an activity on your watch. Then select walking. If you don't have Walking on your device then select something else that logs a distance like running. Then afterwards in Connect edit the activity and change the type to walking.
