Badge

Hello.
I would like to know according to a what principle - measurements a bages are issued?.
Situation - my husband and I cycling on the same route, but in the end he got a badge, but I not.
Although we drove the whole route together at the same time.

  • To tell how it works in your case you need to supply some more info. Which badge is it? Describe the activity you did. Length, time, activity type etc. What badges do you already have that are related to this badge?

Start by looking at the description of the badge.

Lets take a cycling badge as an example:
    Badge: 20-Mile Ride
Description: Ride 20 miles in a single activity.

    There are 3 requirements here.

    1. Ride - Any cycling activity will work. Even indoors.
    2. Distance - 20 miles = 32.18688 kilometers. You cannot ride 32.17 km and get the badge. You must do at least the required distance. Note that if you reach another distance for a related badge you will get that badge instead or if you already got that badge you will not get any badge. For this badge there is a related badge at 50 miles.
    3. Single activity - It is not the accumulated distance. It must be done in one activity.

    General requirement for badges

    1. The activity must be logged with a Garmin device.

There are of course some exceptions. If you are using an older device that do not store the activity in a FIT file it will not work. The easiest way to check is to see if you got some other badges for activities you have done this year. The requirement for FIT files was added in mid January this year.
