Could be a conflict with the other phone. Make sure to use the Garmin Connect App (not android Bluetooth settings) to pair your Garmin with your phone. Follow these steps and video:

    • Remove all your Garmin devices from from Garmin Connect App on both phones (Menu >> Garmin devices)
    • "Unpair" all Garmin devices in android Bluetooth settings from both phones
    • Do the same for any other nearby mobile devices that might have Garmin in BT settings.
    • Reboot your phone, restart the watch
    • On your Garmin device place into "pairing mode." Differs per device, but usually in Settings > Phone > Pair Phone to manually enter pairing mode.
    • Pair using Garmin Connect Mobile app

If still problems after this, see the more extensive list of possibilities here: Sync / Connection Troubleshooting Guide

  • Same issue... Get the wifi looking sync screen on the vivofit 4, shows a 4 digit number, but Connect app won't find device, or if it does, work connect (tried all steps, bluetooth off/on, phone reboot, remove device from app, try to re-add, same issues)

Should be longer than 4 digits, at least on my Forerunner. 6 digits if I recall correctly. So I'm wondering if you're on the correct setting to enable the device to pair with the phone. Also, make sure you've completed the step "clear data" after "forgetting" the device in Bluetooth settings (mentioned in the video). You didn't say which phone you have, but there is an issue with some Samsung phones as mentioned here - Issue with Bluetooth on S21 Ultra

If no joy, best to contact Garmin support via phone or chat - https://support.garmin.com

  • That did it! (removing device from remembered Bluetooth devices)... All synced up again, thanks!

  • I had this problem after purchasing a new phone and copying the software over when syncing my phones. I could not get connect to pair with my watch even though my phone could see it. Copied software was the culprit. I uninstalled connect and reinstalled, pairing worked the first time.
