Flatline body battery and low calorie readings

A couple of weeks ago a couple of the readings have been suspiciously wrong. I'm not certain if the problem is with my Forerunner 245 (I suspect it is) or the Garmin Connect app.

The two places were the discrepancies show up are:

  1. Body battery. This used to be normal, starting out high in the morning, decreasing during the day, decreasing when I exercised, going back up when I rested. About 2 weeks ago it went to 35 and has stayed exactly at that point, flat with no variation, ever since.
  2. Calories. Each exercise (running, cycling) is now estimating that I've burned a fraction of the calories that the same exercise would have done a few weeks ago. 19KM of running was consistently showing about 900 calories burned, and now the same distance shows just 84 (!) calories burned.

I'm guessing these are related, and possibly due to some fault of the watch, but really don't know. I've done all the typical steps: soft resets of the watch, uninstalling and reinstalling the Garmin Connect app, unpairing and repairing Bluetooth.

Ideas, anyone?
