Ran yesterday. The activities were successfully auto-loaded to both my Garmin Connect Mobile app (GCM) and my Garmin Connect Web site (GCW). Edited the activities on GCW (trim, notes, etc.). These edits do not show up on my GCM.
Have confirmed the same creds used for both GCW and GCM.
Not that I think it matters, but Garmin Fenix 5.

Interesting. I tried to duplicate the issue, but could not. I added a note in my run from yesterday in GCW
I opened GCM on my android phone.
I can only suggest when opening the activity in GCM, that you pull down the screen to refresh the data. Possibly there is a connectivity issue with your GCW or android phone? If your phone is using Wi-Fi, maybe try turning it off, so it uses cellular data to see if the data populates to the app.
How do I chat with them?
Go to Garmin Support >> Garmin Connect >> Other >> Chat (may or may not be available depending on your country and time of day)
