Are you using wrist heart rate? Cycling can restrict blood flow and you will get a too low heart rate. You get the most accurate heart rate if you use a chest strap. Read more about optical heart rate here: https://support.garmin.com/en-US/?faq=xQwjQjzUew4BF1GYcusE59
What is "auto connect"?
Flashes red? Where you do see that? If it is the sensor on the back then the red usually is the pulse oximeter.
Yeah but when l went spinning with fitbit my heart rate was 140bpm l think its strange. so red light is oxi. my watch should auto recognise exercise and it doesn't . lve been shopping today and all lve done is 4793 steps thats so wrong lve been walking about 3 hours. had dogs out too
Auto recognize doesn't always work. Stationary cycling will probably not work at all since your watch isn't moving much.
Just start an activity manually. That way it will be the correct type and start and stop at the right times.
Did you push a cart during your shopping? Such things make it hard for the step counter. Your arms need to move for the steps to count. Check your step counter during your walks and see what works.
