I can't stand this BUG anymore!! My D2 keeps displaying the bluetooth pair code and buzzing the phone for pairing all the time!!

The phone is constantly buzzing, being asked by the watch to pair the bluetooth!

I pair it, and a few minutes later it does it again!!!

Already tried turning off/on the phone and the watch to no avail.

Please help before i explode this watch against the wall.

  • the watch is a D2, i forgot to mention. Thanks!

  • Sounds like a pairing problem with the phone and needs to be redone. Make sure to use the Garmin Connect App (not android Bluetooth settings) to pair with your Garmin with your phone. Follow these steps and video:

    • Remove all your Garmin devices from from Garmin Connect App (Menu >> Garmin devices)
    • "Unpair" all Garmin devices in android Bluetooth settings
    • If you have any other mobile devices also unpair the Garmin from those devices
    • Reboot your phone, restart the watch
    • On your Garmin device place into "pairing mode." Differs per device, but usually in Settings > Phone > Pair Phone to manually enter pairing mode.
    • Pair using Garmin Connect Mobile app

If still problems after this, see the more extensive list of possibilities here: Sync / Connection Troubleshooting Guide

    Or contact Garmin Support https://support.garmin.com

  • seilogramp, thank you so much for the reply! I will try this after work today.

btw, i've been using the garmin connect to pair it, and i don't see the D2 on the android bluetooth settings, even when it is paired. i found that weird, but figured it is because the pairing is done through the connect app, right?

anyway, i'll get back here after trying the steps you listed.

    thanks again!

After you pair using the Garmin Connect App, you should see the D2 in android Bluetooth settings. Although android might see it as some other name.

If still issues, you might try posting in the D2 forum - D2 series - Wearables - Garmin Forums, as this might be some issue specific to that hardware.

  • Were you able to get it working?
