Edit floor data

I've had my vivoactive3 left on my wrist while driving (I hoped to get some HR data) and for that day the floors data is totally messed up, reporting 2100+ floors being climbed. That value totally messed up all my averages, etc.

Is there a way to edit or even delete it? 0 imo would be still better than the current huge value.

  • Would like same option.  My Floors count are perpetually wrong because driving in my car typically records 2-3 floors climbed every day.

  • You can try starting a fitting activity while driving. On some watches, the Driving activity is available. It should disable the counting of steps and floors while on. If not available on your device, try another similar activity type. Indoor Cycling is a good choice, since it does not use the GPS (hence not draining the battery too much), and it does disable the steps counting. I did not test it for the floors count, but I assume it could be the same.

At the end of the drive, you can discard the activity. It is not necessary saving it, unless you want to keep it as the log of your drives.

  • Thanks for the suggestion!  My fenix 5 doesn't have the Drive activity that I can see. I will probably just roll with the incorrect floors rather than record an erroneous physical activity.

I do not quite understand why, but if your concern is that it could somehow change the calculation of Calories or other data, then it is false. Besides that, as I wrote, you do not need to record and save it. Just discard the activity at the end. Or save it and change the activity type from Indoor cycling to driving in Garmin Connect
