Data on the phone and pc

Hey there, I need help for my father. He got a vivoactive 3 at the beginning of May this year.

I show him how to connect it to his phone and his pc when I was at his place, and how to sync them. He just told me that his datas are sync and save on the phone but not on the pc. He doesn't have any new data appearing on the pc since may, even he sync them. Or sometimes only the last one appeared on the pc. But he would like to be able to see every data he has on the phone as well as on the pc.

Any idea how to do that?sorry for my English.

  • When you say "PC" I guess you mean Garmin Connect Web in a web browser: https://connect.garmin.com/modern/activities (that page will list all synced activities in Garmin Connect Web)

He doesn't really need to connect the watch to the PC. The app will handle everything. There are a few rare occasions when you need to connect the watch to a PC, but those are not common for that watch.

If he is using the same account in both places it will work automatically. The app and the web shows the exact same data. It can't be in the app without also being in the web since they both fetch data from the same backend. The app got not offline storage. Everything is online.

Check here which email address is being used in Garmin Connect Web: https://connect.garmin.com/modern/settings/accountInformation

Edit: For these occasion it is a good idea to have the login credentials to the parent's account. You shouldn't spread the login to other people but to be able to help your parents that are not always that good with tech I think an exception should be made. I can't count the number of times I've had to login to my parents accounts for different services to see what they are talking about and what they are doing wrong. It is also a good idea to install Teamviewer or similar service on their computer so you can help them hands on.
