Hi! I'm wondering if my vivvomove HR is still ok as, these last days, on speed walks (6.5 to 7.5 km/h), I don't get higher that Zone 3 when, just few weeks ago, I was up to 160 for quite a time. Or is it my body adjusting to the effort. To be more specific, I'm a 62 years woman, and started this activity one and half year ago. Also, my heart rate at rest was around 80 bpm, it's now between 55- 62. Thank you for answers as I have nobody around to help me about all this.

  • Zone 3 and 160 doesn't say much without knowing your heart rate zones and your settings.

Compare the graph "Time in Heart Rate Zones" between the previous walks with the current and see if the zones are different and if anything has changed. The zones might have changed automatically or that you've made an update.

Training will make you more fit which will lower the heart rate during the activity.

It is hard to say what is happening here without knowing a lot more. Links to a couple of activities might help to analyze it.

  • My heart rate zones are, for the 5, 94, 110,126,142 and the last above... 3 month ago, I was easily flirting with 160 to 180. Now, I bearly go above zone 3 and for a short span of time... I'm not an athletic person but try to do my best and improve myself. By the way, as a user of Garmin products, any advice about the vivomove 3 S? I have the vivomobe HR but for some reason, I need measurement of SPO2... Would it be a good choice, knowing that my main sport is walking?and my budget quite short...

    Thanks again for your help

  • The measurement of SPO2 is not usuable since it is very inaccurate. I think it is better to get a separate pulsoximeter if you want to get accurate values. I've turned off SPO2 in my watch. I showed just 90-94%. Never higher.

What I don't like about Vivomove 3S is that is a hybrid watch with analog time and some smartwatch functions in the background. I don't like that it is using connected GPS since you must always bring your phone. Connected GPS seems to work pretty good, but it is just another thing that can malfunction.

It is very hard to give advice when the usage is so different.

  • Thank you for giving your opinion on this watch. But I really like to get another one, and have no other idea on which one could do the best in the same range of price. I also want to stick with Garmin so I won't loose all my data. Well, guess I'm going to check again all of them! Have a nice day, evening or night, depending on where you live.

    Thanks again
