Manually record workout doesn't import data?

I forgot to start my Venu 2 recording during a workout, so I added it manually after. However, despite having the start and finish time, it didn't input any of the heart rate data, steps, etc. I would expect that all of the data that was collected during that time would be applied to the workout...

That would be great, but it doesn't work like that.

The steps is not recorded in the activtity unless you've added a Connect IQ field that writes to the FIT file, but that only happens if you track…

The steps is not recorded in the activtity unless you've added a Connect IQ field that writes to the FIT file, but that only happens if you track an activity with that data field added to a data page. The steps are logged as steps as usual.

Well that's unfortunate. Even my Fitbit was able to do that. Horribly inaccurately, but it did it

I do agree!. I mean Fitbit have a lot of sync issues ... But at least their app is more clever than the Garmin one
