running with extra load (burden)

I do run with kinder chariot, ankel and wrist weights or backpack sometimes. If tracked as running activity, it is considered poor performance by the device (HR is high, low speed than free running) VOmax is calculated lower, overall training is evaluated ineffective. How to solve this?

  • The trick is to use trail running or any other activity type that doesn't calculate VO2 max. Some watches do calculate VO2 max for trail running. Then create a copy of the trail running profile and turn off VO2 max for that copy.
