How do I unpair from a broken phone?

My phone is broken and is non functional, I have replaced my phone and would like to pair my vivoactive 3 to my new phone. However my vivoactive 3 still says I am already paired. My old phone is not functional (touchscreen does not work). How do I unpair from my old broken android phone?

Reset the watch?

If I do that I will likely lose any Data stored. I'll do that if that's the only way.

Connect it to your computer via the cable and use Garmin Express to sync it to your account. Then, you can reset the watch and all the data on the watch should have been synced over

I have reset my watch, and I could connect my new phone. But yeah, all my data of the past year are gone.

In future, do a wired sync first. That way your data is safe
