Step counting

My forerunner 645 is not counting my steps accurately when I'm out running, this morning I ran 9.5 Miles and it only counted around 7000 steps, any ideas as to what Is going on?

Share a link to the activity - for example the cadence graph could perhaps reveal something. Is your arm wearing the watch moving freely?

My cadence is high, always has been, I have a very small stride.. arm moves freely, I am a relaxed runner... I have a mid sole strike with no issues... it counts fine when I'm walking

Could you please post a link to that activity (Share as Webilink, or use GC Web)? There is more data that can be used for the analysis. The screenshot is unfortunately not very helpful in this regard.
