Garmin Fenix 5 / Edge 810 Data Syncing

Hello to all

I'm trying to work out the best way to go on a relatively limited budget. Garmin kit is so very expensive, I'm not able to buy all of the latest kit when it launches. However, I have an Edge 810, which I have been using for my cycling for a few years now, and have recently acquired a Fenix 5 for everything else. I'm trying to work out the best way to use these together from a cycling perspective?

I'm not a massive fan of chest straps, which is the primary reason I went for a Garmin watch, so that I can exercise whilst recording from the wrist sensor. I'm aware that I can broadcast my HR data from the Fenix 5, to the Edge 810, which I've already tried and works.

Is there anything really useful or cool that I'm missing?

I'm happy with recording my cycle rides on the Edge 810, so that the GC data is received from the Edge/Phone at the end of the ride. I'm happy with my Fenix providing the HR data for the Edge, so that chest straps are no longer required (which I never found to amazingly accurate anyway).

I'll look to get an Edge 830 in time, when prices come down, as its got some cool ride data that looks very useful, but in the meantime, if someone can help me with anything I might be missing in terms of using my Edge 810 and Fenix 5 together, I'd be most grateful. I'm aware that I can't do the Extended Display thing on the 810 (according to DC Rainmaker), and I don't know if this Physio True Up is relevant to me, or how I'm using my devices?

Many thanks
