climbing badge

I completed 2050 feet of climbing today, according to Strava, but Garmin Connect disagrees and has not awarded the Climber 3 badge as it reckons 250 feet less.

These were both from the same Garmin watch

That's quite a big discrepancy given that both apps have the same data?

Have you tested to enable elevation correction in Garmin Connect?

I think you must do that in Garmin Connect Web. Go to the activity and enable it and see if the elevation is closer to what Strava calculates.

If your device has a barometric altimeter that value will be used, but it can be incorrect due to a number of reasons (lack of calibration, change of barometric pressure, dirt etc.).
