Heart Rate appears to be inaccurate

My heart rate feature appears to be inaccurate....runs much higher than my pulse ox. Is there a way to shut of the watch and reset it.

Sure there is, but since you did not tell what model you own, I cannot google it for you, and can only recommend looking into the user manual…

Edit: Sorry. I linked to the Vivoactive 4, but the concept is the same for all watches with wrist heart rate senors.

How are you wearing your Vivosmart 4? Many people wear the watch like a normal watch…

Sure there is, but since you did not tell what model you own, I cannot google it for you, and can only recommend looking into the user manual. However, it is not certain the reset will change anything on the way the HRM reads you pulse, though it is certainly worth of the try. I'm having a similar issue, also struggling with long Covid (PASC) so it's a bit scary as I've had a lot of heart, chest, neural issues. The Vivosmart 4 will often record about twice the pulse of my Beurer pulse oximeter which is much more reliable and close to what I manually count. The higher reading from the Vivosmart tends to drop and converge with the Beurer if I meditate, rest, lie down. I know my doctor will say it's a problem with the equipment, that's already stated about any data I present, but it's hard to say if this is actually an issue with the Vivosmart's measurement or if something is wrong with the heart and blood flow.

How are you wearing your Vivosmart 4? Many people wear the watch like a normal watch, but for reading wrist heart rate it should be placed a bit higher up and a bit more snug.
