Live Track not working

I read several old threads from 2020 that people were having problems with Live Track (perhaps after a certain update). Mine has worked flawlessly until around December of 2020/January of 2021. Is there an update I need to run or he needs to run in order to get this working again?

The worst part about the live tracker not working is that I had a very scary encounter while out running in rural Florida recently and I didn't know the live tracker wasn't working. I don't use this for a false sense of security but it is nice to know that my husband has at least some idea of where I'm at while I'm out running/walking/biking in case something happens while I'm out.

There are no widespread issues that I'm aware of these days. I did have one failed LiveTrack earlier this week, but that was the only one in the last 8 weeks.

I always verify that the track is working by emailing the link to myself, and after my warm-up I check if the link for track and position updates on the map screen. If it is not working, I try again with a new activity. Some areas where I run don't have good cellphone coverage and that can result in no position updates, but that just can't be helped. Other tracking solutions like LoRaWAN GPS tracking, maybe.

Livetrack has been ending for me on long rides. I've noticed it terminates when I stop at a gas station or use the restroom. I think it must not be reconnecting to my phone when I get back to the bike.
