Does not support courses

Hi folks, new to the forum and a first time Garmin user.

I have a Garmin mapgps66 s which I have just bought and in the process of setting up.

I have paired this successfully with my phone (Samsung s8)

I downloaded a gpx file from walkhighlands to my phone.

I went into the Garmin connect app on my phone found the gpx file chose send to device.

A message appeared, Device does not support courses.

I re booted my phone, switched the 66 off then on.

Tried again, same message.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The concept of "courses" is intended for Garmin wearable fitness or cycling devices. Handheld devices, such as the GPSMAP 66s use Garmin Explore to sync data such as waypoints, routes, and tracks. If you have a question on that app, suggest posting to the Garmin Explore Android forum.

Thank you for the help and advice it is appreciated.

I use the word "courses" as this is the heading which is used by garmin on the connect app to store a gpx file which has been transferred to garmin connect from the internet.

When I attempt to transfer this file to my gps66 the message appears "your device does not support courses"

Any feedback greatly appreciated.
