Rowing pace calculation is wrong

Since a while I do indoor rowing without any connection to the rower. I start the rowing activity on my Vivoactiv4. After I finsih the workout i enter the distance via the connect app. I think it did work at one time, but currently the pace is not calculated correclty. Or, also possible, the distance input does not work.

Example: In the Screenshot you can see that i did a workout lasting 25:38min. The distance I entred is 6005 meters. Which seems to be entered correctly. My math for calculating the pace in min/500m 25/6005*500 = 2,08 which is rather close to what my rowing machine indicated.. But the app calculates 0:08 (min/500). Somthing is messed up with the calculation of the pace or the input of the distance in my opinion.

    Hah, I was just going to report the same issue (not to hijack your post, eltono, but just to give more input), in the indoor rowing "first" tab of the activity, pace is shown as 0:08, 8 seconds per 500 meters, just like you mention, , since a few weeks. On the second "tab" (with all detailed information), it's shown OK.

    I haven't yet checked if older activities have also suddenly become incorrect, or if it starts at a certain date (which might be related to a certain version of the connect app, or of the software on the watch, a Vivoactive 3 in my case).

    I would want to insert an image here, but that has to be an URL, is there no image upload possibility?

    Edit: browsing back to older activities, I see the same issue, so it would seem something that's (wrongly) calculated "on the fly" rather than data that is stored as part of the activity.

    Yes, either copy the image and paste it directly into the message, or use the function Insert » Image/video/file » upload). However, it looks like a bug, hence I'd suggest contacting the Customer Support, and reporting it to them, since they are not likely to spot it here, on the user forum.

    Missing the upload option, could be a Safari thingy. But yeah, customer support it is, then. And I know from earlier issues that rowing doesn't seem to be high on the list... Thanks,

    I suspect it is not only rowing. Saw a similar complaint today regarding swimming.

    Same here. The Pace (min/500m) shown on the main screen for the activity always shows "0:07" for me, but when I go to the 2nd tab (the statistics), the Avg Page shows correctly, usually around 2:30 (min/500m). I'm on Android.

    Just noticed today that I'm seeing the correct pace again for indoor rowing on the first screen (and on the second screen where it always was correct). Android, Garmin Connect release 4.42.

    Thanks, yes, it appears to be fixed now.
