Can't change activity type from diving

I had an activity today that I must have picked diving in error and now I can't change it in Garmin connect. I seem to be able to change only the type of dive. It should be snowshoe.

Why? Are you getting any error when trying to change the Activity Type? If you cannot change it with the app, you can always change it on [Garmin Connect Web], and vice versa, but personally I can change the type of the activity with both of them.

For some reason, I could change on web. Even after syncing I could not on app. My drop down list only gave me different dives. Syncing did not help. I logged out of the app, then back in and it corrected itself by syncing with web version.

I had the same thing happen to me too. For some reason only see diving options when I try to edit. Must be a bug. Going to try to edit online

I've just come across this same problem.

I tracked a snorkelling activity as a walk (which showed the route I took).

Mistakenly thought that Diving would be the closest choice for the Activity Type.

I tried to edit the activity on the computer through the link above but no luck.

I only get the list of Diving options that I also get on my Garmin Connect App on my iPhone.

Has anyone had any luck with this?

I have no problems with changing the activity type. However, I do not understand what you are trying to do. You wrote you recorded a snorkellling as a Walk, and then that you get diving option for that activity. That does not make sense to me. Or was the first sentence written in the wong way, and in fact it was a walk that you recorded as Snorkelling, and you are trying to set it back to Walking?

In any case, if you open the activity in Garmin Connect Web, you can change the Activity type to whatever you want, in the dropdown box just above the Activity name:
