Garmin Connect not showing heart rate card in My Day

From February 8, 2021 Garmin Connect has stopped showing heart rate idata n My Day. I have:

1. Uninstalled and reinstalled the app. Didn't help.

2. Removed all cards from My Day using "Edit My Day" then added back heart rate. Still didn't show heart rate. It also doesn't show calories, only Intensity Minutes is displayed.

3.  Removed Forerunner 35 as a device and reconnected. Didn't  help.

Activities are still being recorded and displayed cirrectly, it's just My Day that is messed up .

I note that there are older forum posts on this topic that were not satisfactorily resolved.

Garmin: Please address this issue.

Garmin connect 4.39 for Android with Forerunner 35 with most recent software update.

  • Very carefully follow all the instructions from the support document Data is Missing from My Garmin Account After Syncing to resolve the issue.

  • Hi Trux.

Thanks for the reply. Removing the forerunner35 as a device and adding it backdidnt work..

I checked on garmincoonect to make sure I wasn't logged in there. There isn't  an option on the web app to remove a device, so it looks like the only place to do this is on the android app. I have now tried doing that (removing the device, closing the app, restarting the phone, opening garmin connect, and adding back the device). My Day still only shows intensity minutes, and not the heart rate card.

    Any other suggestions?

I am running garmin connect on a samsung 21S with Android version 10

Try testing it from another phone, to find out whether the problem comes from the phone, or from elsewhere. You can always also contact the Customer Support.

  • Hi Trux,

Thanks for the suggestion. I removed the FR35 from Garmin Connect App on my Samsung 21S. Loaded Garmin Connect on a a Samsung 10S, but couldn't add the FR35 as a device.  From this I concluded that the problem was the FR35 device.  I went back to the Samsung 21S and re-added the FR35 as a device with no problems.  Interestingly Garmin Connect then registered a very small amount (maybe 30 minutes) of HR data in My Day but then no further record of HR. until sevreal hours later when HR data and other fields (steps etc) started recording perfectly.

My conclusion on all this is that simply removing the device (FR35) from Garmin Connect and then adding it back is not sufficient to reset whatever the glitch in the system was, but by adding the device to another mobile phone (even though it did not install) was sufficient to reset the problem.

It has been 3 days now and so far, so good, with data recording back to normal.

Thanks for your help to resolve the probelm

No, it is indeed not. As written in the document, you have to remove the device from all apps and intances using the device (GC Mobile, GC Web, Garmin Express), and only then adding it back.
