Battery drainage

After my last sofware update about 3 days ago on my Active 4S my watch need to get charged every day as it wont last another day till the evening?what is going on?

  • Battery drainage after an update is a rare but a reoccuring issue, that I see reported here on the forum for diverse Garmin models. It happens when the firmware update somehow goes wrong, perhaps due to an interruption during the process. Mostly a simple restart of the watch fixes the problem, but sometimes the master reset is needed, and in other cases the firmware has to be reinstalled manually (for example using the last avaiable beta version for the respective watch model). If you do not manage to fix it with any of those proposed tips, contact the Customer Support.

  • Yes, lot's of discussion on this on the Vivoactive forum. The 5.6 update seems to fix it however. What level did your last update take you to?
