Steps not showing in details

The watch tracks the steps, but they are not showing in the details unless I force a sync through Garmin express. This just started happening on Monday Feb 1 at 5:15pm.

The same issue today. I am at 6000 steps but you can see the timeline stopped tracking the details at 9am today which is when I last sync'd through the cable.

Please help.

As far as I remember, the Steps detailed screen was always updated upon sync with the server only. It is the normal behaviour, so I do not think you need any help

It's not syncing the details automatically. Which it did from June 2020 until yesterday. It literally will not update the details until it's plugged in. I used to just swipe to sync no problem without any wires.

.. but it the BT connection works for diplaying the Steps data live, then it is another problem. It is addressed in the troubleshooting guide too, but you can go directly to the support document Data is Missing from My Garmin Account After Syncing for the instructions how to resolve the issue.

Ok there was a corrupt hidden .fit file that had to be removed, then the s40 had to be removed from the app. It appears to be working. Thank you!
